Data Protection

The Scout Association is committed to the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation.  When we collect data we use it for the following reasons: 

  • To retain personal data in order to facilitate involvement in Scouting (this may be retained on paper, computer systems (such as COMPASS and OSM) and/or local computer records.) 
  • Allowing access to relevant personal data to appropriate individuals within the hierarchy of Scouting 
  • Sending mail and emails about the Scout Group, programme, events and news.
